Art students paint Plymouth white

Jack Morris and Sue Austin, from Plymouth University, painted temporary white lines across the city over the weekend. They used therefore a bicycle and a mobility scooter. Plymouth City Council has received complaints about these spiral white lines, they do not see this as art. Art student have started a debate about public art by painting a path of white lines across the city. They did have an agreement for the project but they did not ask for permission, said the council. The university did not wait for permissions, they already had an agreement. The students used non-toxic, water-soluble chalk for painting the white lines. That wears off in a couple of days, or weeks at most.

Reaction: Art students paint Plymouth white

I like it, it is beautiful. Let’s paint all the boring streets for a couple days or weeks. Nobody can say what art is and what is not, that is the secret. If you can explain your work and your competence, it is art in your eyes. These students also thought about the chalk they used, it does not damage the environment. I still do not understand the difference between an agreement to workout a project and a permission to work out your plans. The council was not clear enough while deliberating this project; if he was there would not be a mistake about it afterwards.

A woman gave birth as her partner drove

Becci Longley, 20, and her boyfriend Andrew Mildenhall, 21, were driving to the hospital for the third time because Becci was pregnant and their baby was coming. Becci was sent home twice by staff at the hospital earlier that day. When Becci’s waters broke, just an hour after going home from their second visit at the hospital, her boyfriend started the journey to the hospital again. Becci was in the front passenger seat when her baby's head "popped out" on the M3 on the way to the Royal Hampshire County Hospital. She said: "It was very scary but my natural instincts kicked in and I just knew I had to be calm."

Wow! This is amazing; I would be very scared and nervous if I was Becci. I am glad that the baby is healthy after all. Becci said that her natural instincts helped her, which is unbelievable. It is strange that the hospital has sent her home twice, they have modern equipments for checking a pregnant woman anytime of the day. My compliments for Andrew, for driving the car while his girlfriend was giving birth. Their first baby is born very special but I hope the next one will be less special and safer.
