Juror 'committed sex crime during break for lunch'

Alan Edwards, 58 and former soldier, was serving as a juror in the case of a sexual crime on a teenage girl. He went out for a lunch break and committed a sex crime himself by molesting a receptionist. A jury of seven men and five women did not found him guilty, because he was not in control of his action at the time. Psychiatric consultants said Edward was suffering psychotic symptoms at that time. While proven Edward committed his act, Judge Darwall-Smith does not agree at all with the verdict, he told Edwards he must register as a sex offender.

Reaction: Juror 'committed sex crime during break for lunch'

This is unbelievable, a juror commit a sex crime himself during the break of a sexual crime case. There is no better reason to lock someone like him up for a couple of years. Not in control of your action is the most used and useless reason I ever heard, not only in this case. It seems to be a trend nowadays saying this after doing something terrible. People who do not know what they are doing are more dangers than people who do.

Calls for study into effect of computer games on children's brains

Lady Greenfield, The leading neuroscientist and director of the Royal Institution, wants a fund for a study into the impact of computer games and social network sites on the development of children’s brains. Lady Greenfield will call for ministers and warn in her speech about the obsession children have with social network sites. There is a risk that those children may isolate themselves more than children who spend less time on social network sites. It may have a negative effect on children and they relate to others in the real world.

Lady Greenfield also says: ‘‘There is no serious research work done anywhere on the impact of repeated use of computers on the development of the brain.’’ She also thinks parents are very interested in this subject because it matters their children’s lives.

Reaction: Calls for study into effect of computer games on children's brains

This is a good research because people always talk about the danger of using computers and with this research there might be evidence. We use computers for many years now and nobody ever get more dumb or mindless, instead it seems that the human been gets older and more intelligent every day. There is no good reason for the ministers not funding this study, using money for the people in future is one of the best investments. It is not only important for Lady Greenfield to do this study, but also for the parents who can educate their children in the future why using computers often has a negative effect on their brains.

Reaction: Belonging actress is found dead

It is unbelievable when such young people die, I am very curious if she committed suicide and why? Did no one expect this to happen because she acts she was happy? How can the family who she left behind live with this? These are the questions I had while reading this article. Being famous and successful is not easy because the world is watching you all the time, but suicide is the last option. People who committed suicide do not think of there family, if they really realized the pain they leave behind by their families they would think twice.

Iran Leader Urges Reporter Rights

The Iranian-American journalist Roxana Saberi is put behind bars for eight years in Iran. Her first less serious accusation was for buying alcohol, the second accusation was for working as a journalist without a valid press card, but after two week Iran found her guilty because of spying. The US is in shock and the president is "deeply disappointed." Roxana’s Lawyer will lodge an appeal.

The mother of Roxana is concerned about the health of her daughter. She said "Roxana was very frail." She can not believe how a country can treat a human being like this.

Reaction: Iran Leader Urges Reporter Rights

One of the biggest problems in Iran is human right. That is why you have to be careful in this country. If they do not have evidence, they will make it. Roxana Saberi is used as an example to show the power Iran wants in the world. The government lies about many things they decide, the most people in Iran do not protest because of their own security and life. Nothing will change as long as ayatollah has the power in Iran. What happened with the most beautiful and rich country which was like Europe in the past?
